Skills gaps, meeting international partners, and funding of creative businesses in Africa and Trinidad & Tobago

Late last year, Visiting Arts along with the Africa Center and the Ministry of Arts and Multiculturalism for Trinidad and Tobago conducted a survey of the regions where we are working for our project Culture Works Connections. Below we have a shared a summary of key results from respondents across sub-saharan Africa and Trinidad and Tobago.

VA now a partner of AHRC funded "cultural intermediation" project

Building on our previous Square Mile project, Visiting Arts is now a partner with the Universities of Birmingham, Manchester and Salford on a three-year project looking at ‘cultural intermediation’. The project is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) as part of its Connected Communities program



VA is the lead partner with the ACP Cultures+ Programme

Culture Works Connections (CWC), our new project that links creative businesses in African, Caribbean and Pacific regions, is the only project with a UK partner receiving funds from the EU ACP Cultures+ programme. CWC aims to build stronger more sustainable creative businesses that are able to access a world markets and develop collaborations.
