Visiting Arts and the Performing Right Society Foundation supported a collaboration between leading musicians from the Nazareth Orchestra, singer Lubna Salame, the London Sinfonietta and Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead, which culminated with two performances at the Royal Festival Hall (27/28 March 2005) as part of the South Bank Centre’s Ether Festival.

The collaboration resulted in the creation of a new work based on the classic Arabic song Enta Omri - ‘You Are My Life’ (music by Mohamed Abdel-Wahab, lyrics by Ahmad Shafiq Kamel) which was performed alongside works by, amongst others, Farid El-Atrash, Henri Dutilleux, Krystof Penderecki and Jonny Greenwood.

The concerts also saw performances by a French ensemble of Ondes Martenot players (an electronic instrument used in many 20th Century film scores from Star Trek to Amelie) and Thom Yorke who, with Lubna Salame, provided vocals for versions of two Radiohead songs.
