ATP’s function is to enable and make manifest process in art/cultural practices.

AterlierTransPal

At Chelsea College of Art and Design, Millbank, London, ATP will be presented in the Parade Ground – a 2500 m2 open public space set between an art education institution and Tate Britain. ATP will be built on site, early October 2006, in a workshop organised with art and design students from Chelsea. The ATP space at Chelsea will be configured as a modular work/show platform with a vertical organisation. For the duration of its presence on the Parade Ground (coinciding with the opening of the Frieze art fair on the 12th of October and ending on the 19th of November 2006) ATP will be housing a programme of mixed use involving workshops, shows and events. www.ateliertranspal.org I www.pariscalling.org.uk

“My aim is to propose a set of images that prompt thoughts and questions relating to the notion of mobility (transit, transport, transpose, transform, transcend…). The films collectively make manifestations of concepts that underlie the Atelier Trans-Pal (ATP) project - a mobile, modular and multifunctional work-platform for art projects and arts workers on the move.”

The following film comprises a series of short videos - between a few seconds long and one minute each.

The film has been produced in collaboration with Clément Cogitore, a young emerging filmmaker, working across film and the visual arts. (NB Quicktime required)
