1mileĀ² Bradford update

During November, Impressions Gallery hosted a series of photography walks for local participants who explored and documented the diverse cultures and environments of Great Horton and Little Horton.

Each photo-walk explored a different theme. In week one, the session was led by Bradford based ecologist Charlie Gray and investigated the wide range of plants and herbs growing in the square mile. In week two, local historian Nafees Nazir helped uncover the fascinating history of the buildings and places within the urban environment. The third session was led by photographer Simon Warner and explored cultural diversity and its expression with visits to a mosque and local shops. Participants then had the opportunity to work with the programming team at Impressions Gallery to edit and select their photographs for a projection shown during a public event to celebrate the project on Thursday 9 December.
