Darkness and light physically fragment the landscape in a manner that corresponds closely to the political connotations of division

a dialect that sits uncomfortably in this highly charged sectarian landscape.

From this position I question the parallel between territorial divisions and the appearance of physical duality. Visualising a dialogue of fragmentation, division and control.

 

My name is Fergus Jordan I am a Phd student working in Belfast Northern Ireland. I use the photograph to examine dialogues of division and fragmentation in the post conflict landscape of Northern ireland. The work attached is titled, 'The edge of darkness 2011' .
