Contact International Forum

Contacting the World is Contact’s pioneering international theatre exchange project for young people. This July over 150 young performers from all over the world will descend on Liverpool for an eight day celebration of work created by young people. With twelve companies from England, Germany, Turkey, Poland, Zambia, Brazil, India, Nepal, USA and Palestine twinned and collaborating on creating new work together, Contacting the World presents an unparalled opportunity to explore theatre practice from across the globe.

A unique opportunity has arisen for a number of additional practitioners to attend CTW as part of Contact’s International Forum. This is a platform for artists or practitioners working with young people across the world to share ideas and ways of thinking in creating performance work by young people. It also presents a unique opportunity to see and experience work created by young people across the world. Participation in the CTW Contact International Forum would include:
- Access and contribution to a daily specialist practitioner forum
- Access and participation in the CTW skills sharing workshop
- Access and contribution to daily discussion forums
- Two day’s exclusive attendance at Arts Council England’s International Conference young people’s theatre conference GET IN (optional)
- Tickets for all 12 CTW performances
- Accommodation at a halls of residence for eight days (optional)
- Hospitality for eight days
- Local travel in Liverpool
- Inclusion in the final street performance
