The Embassy of Brazil in London is proud to be hosting the 2019 edition of the VIA Arts Prize.
All 30 finalists’ artworks are on exhibit, celebrating Ibero-American culture alongside 2018 VIA Arts Prize winner Hugo Brazão’s solo show ‘Best Foot Backward’.
The VIA Arts Prize 2019 Exhibition is open to the public from 13 November to
11 December, Monday to Friday from 10AM to 6PM. Free admission.
The Office for Cultural & Scientific Affairs (OCSA) of the Embassy of Spain in the United Kingdom opens a Call for Proposals to collaborate in the production costs of activities that promote Spanish culture and science in the United Kingdom in 2020.
The call is open to cultural and scientific persons and institutions, both Spanish and British, with projects (Cinema, Stage Arts and Academia and Social Sciences) to be implemented across the United Kingdom.
The collaboration from the OCSA in projects would depend on the nature, diffusion and other contributions obtained from public or private institutions, with a maximum collaboration, only in restricted cases, up to 51 % of total costs.
Application deadline: Friday,11th October 2019.
Share and find European cultural events in the UK on the site created by EUNIC LONDON, the network of the cultural institutes and embassies from the EU member states, in collaboration with the Representation of the European Commission in London.
EUROLIS was born over 12 years ago when librarians of the European Cultural Institutes based in London decided to work together and promote European languages in the UK in association with CILIP. They meet every other month and their main activities centre on:
- One annual Seminar on a chosen topic, aimed at all the librarians in the UK. Next event is Friday, 6th December 2019
- Eurotoolbox: A special collection of literature for children and youths in French, English, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese and Spanish, put together by the respective European Institutes’ librarians, is offered to acquisition librarians who are interested in promoting European languages to young people. The collection is a FREE loan for professional librarians to borrow for two weeks or more at a time.
New Conversations is a programme funded and delivered by the British Council, Farnham Maltings , and the High Commission of Canada in the UK . The fund is designed to encourage and support the development of creative exchange, collaboration and partnerships between artists and arts organisations in the performing arts sector in the UK and Canada. The fund is open to Canada and UK-based artists, collectives, independent companies and organisations of theatre and dance. New Conversations will fund up to $8,700.00 CAD/£5,000 GBP toward collaborative and sustainable creative projects that can deliver long-term benefits for the performing arts sectors in both countries.
