January 2008 Taiwan-England Artists' Fellowship Programme Chen Agi in Loughborough; Kao Peiling in London; and Susan Stockwell in Taipei
“Great thanks to Visiting Arts and British Council for offering me this opportunity to participate in this programme. The first time I visited London in 2004, I was impressed by the dynamic contemporary art and during this residency I’ve experienced more diversity by visiting cities in the middle and north of England. I greatly appreciate all the arrangements and assistance provided by Mr Nick Slater, (Director, Arts Centre, Loughborough University) during these two and a half months.
Kao Peiling Taiwanese dancer Kao Peiling took up her residency at Independent Dance, based at the Siobhan Davis Dance Studio, London. Independent Dance is an artist-led organisation dedicated to the ongoing development of professional dance artists. It offers a year-round programme of classes in release techniques and improvisation, supplemented with Thursday Group discussions, Feedback Forums and intensive workshops and laboratories. www.independentdance.co.uk
