In 2002, a partnership developed with The Netherlands’ Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, enabled the participants to extend their month long placements in the UK by also visiting the Netherlands, and hence experiencing a different European model of arts management. These programmes involved 53 arts managers over the 3-year cycle. Caucasus-UK Arts Management Placement Programmes. 2001, 1999 and 1998 The 1998 programme was the first of its kind for Visiting Arts, developed in partnership with the Open Society Institute Budapest. 31 performing arts managers took part over the 3-year duration, and changes introduced after feedback from each programme ensured the continuous improvement of this type of programme.
