The Colombia-England Artists Residency Programme is a joint initiative between Visiting Arts, Ministry of Culture Colombia, British Council Colombia and Arts Council England which offers a unique opportunity for a total of twelve artists (two from each country over three years) to spend three months in Colombia or England developing their work.

The aim is to establish an exchange between artists who are engaged in contemporary arts practice in the fields of visual and performing arts that will lead to the growth of sustainable cultural links between the two countries.

Colombia - England 2006/07

UK artists
Anne Burke was selected as the UK participant of the programme and visited Colombia in Spring 2008 to take up her residency at the Universidad de los Andes.

Colombian artists
Nelson Guzman (photography) and John Jairo Garcia (music) were both selected to undertake their respective three-month residencies in the UK between April - June 2008.
 
Nelson spent his time between Metal and Open Eye (Liverpool) and John was based with the Guildhall Connect Programme (London).

Marín Restrepo (drama) hosted at Watermill Theatre, Newbury
