Producers and Curators Visits We run promoters and curators visits that enable UK promoters and curators to experience and participate in unique arts and cultural networking/showcasing events abroad. “Visiting Arts gave me the opportunity of visiting Romania, a country which is going through an exciting and crucial time of its historical development. I had the opportunity to meet very good artists and curators whose critical knowledge, coupled with energy and innovative ideas were really inspiring”. UK promoters and theatre artists visit to Fadjr Festival, Tehran in partnership with Arts Council England South East. April 2007 Moscow Biennale Curators’ Trip British curators to the opening days of the 2nd Moscow Biennale. February 2007 Promoters trip to Moscow UK promoters attended the Russian Case, a major showcase of contemporary theatre and dance from the region. The showcase formed part of the annual Golden Mask Festival. April 2006 Curators Visit to Romania Six-day research visit to Romania with support from The Ratiu Foundation. October 2005 UK Promoters Visit Taipei Performing arts producers on a research visit to Taiwan in October 2005 UK Producers attend International Fadjr Theatre Festival, Iran A research and development visit to the International Fadjr Theatre Festival in Tehran. January 2005 Africa Part of an ongoing Visiting Arts initiative aimed at engaging UK promoters, curators and programmers with the arts and artists of Africa and increasing the presentation of contemporary arts from the region. Producers’ visit to South Africa to the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown in 2005 to attend productions, meet artists and participate in a series of networking events designed to bring together international delegates with artists and promoters from the Southern Africa region. Producers’ visits to Zimbabwe to participate in the Harare International Festival of Arts (HIFA) in 2004 and 2005 as part of a programme delivered in partnership with British Council Zimbabwe and HIFA.
