sharing events
VA Sharing Events are essential to our research visits abroad and our evolving projects. They usually consist of presentations from artists and curators/producers involved in the chosen programme which stimulate critical discussion with the audience. These are documented and we will be making them available on our website or from our archive.
"It was wonderful to be reminded of the beauties and difficulties of theatre making in Tehran. Hooray for Visiting Arts for keeping on going. I recognised each speaker's perspective from feeling both the power and futility of theatre; from seeing simple stunning and less good work. Change comes with exchange and the personal encounters are life changing … Please keep me informed of future events."

The Welsh Arts Critics’ Exchange Programme concluded in Washington DC in June 2009 with a media event at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival on The National Mall. All six participants took part in a roundtable discussion, chaired by programme co-ordinator Linda Christmas. The discussion ranged from reasons for participating, key impressions from visiting each others’ countries, notable learning outcomes, as well as the role of arts criticism in society today.
