Artist to Artist 2011 - The Participants

Visiting Arts and The Delfina Foundation are pleased to announce the participants of Artist to Artist International 2011. Building upon 6 previous years of intensely personal exchanges between UK and international artists, the 2011 Artist to Artist programme sees Onya McCausland host Khaled Hafez (Egypt) and Gayle Chong Kwan host Ines Jerray (Tunisia).

Artist to Artist International 2011

Visiting Arts in partnership with The Delfina Foundation is pleased to announce Artist to Artist International 2011.

The programme provides an opportunity to bring together artists to initiate dialogues across international borders, enabling pairs of artists to enter into new working relationships on an open-ended and informal basis. Professional, practising UK based artists can apply to invite an artist of their choice, to visit UK for two weeks for the exchange of ideas and experiences.

Now in it sixth year, Artist to Artist enables artists from the UK to invite artists from overseas for a two week long visit. This provides a unique opportunity to bring together pairs of artists to initiate dialogue across international borders. The structure of the programme is always tailored by the artists themselves and places emphasis firmly on research and the exchange of ideas rather than production.

Artist to Artist 2009

The Artist to Artist scheme (delivered by Visiting Arts in partnership with The Delfina Foundation) enables artists from the UK to invite artists from overseas for a week long visit. The selected overseas artists for 2009 spent a week with a UK artist between March and April visiting their studio, meeting key contacts, networking and exchanging ideas.
