CIRCLE TWO: Classic Film, Contemporary Score (UK/China)
Following the successful Circle one Hip Hop Rap, featuring Mandarin rapping from Dragon Tongue Squad from Beijing, at the Linbury Studio Theatre at the Royal Opera House in February, CAS, again in partnership with ROH2 at the Royal Opera House, presents Circle two in April at the Linbury Studio Theatre. This showcases the work of four of the most exciting British Chinese composer/musicians in the UK: Chi2 (Liz and Sarah Liew), Jiang Li and Kimho Ip. These four artists will be inspired by the award-winning Chinese silent film Song of the Fishermen (漁光曲, 1934) to compose a new score for the movie and perform it live at the Linbury alongside a special screening of the film
