23 August - 7 September	International/ UK	Artwave 2008 differs from other art festivals as it promotes local art and creativity by welcoming experts and novices to exhibit side by side. From barns to castles, and studios to open spaces, Artwave 2008 looks set to burst with a true cornucopia of work from artists and makers from the Lewes area, including Newhaven and Seaford. 28 - 31 August	International/ UK	Fiddle Festival of Wales Held in the National Trust’s Stackpole Centre, Pembrokeshire, this festival is one of the most unique gatherings of musicians in Wales. It is residential and has over the past three years developed a community of fiddlers from various backgrounds, all with an interest in traditional Welsh tunes	Pembrokeshire
