African Soul Rebels After three series of acclaimed concerts, the African Soul Rebels tour has raised its game further for 2008, uniting two legends and a young groundbreaker for 10 nights. Danceroads 2008 Welsh Independent Dance (WID) in collaboration with Chapter Arts Centre is hosting the premiere performance of Dance Roads, a biannual touring event, which offers audiences the opportunity to view the work of selected artists from Cardiff, Turin, Luxembourg and Montreal. Dance Roads was founded in 1990 by a worldwide group of dance organisations dedicated to supporting emerging and innovative dance artists. The programme of original dance works is presented in each of the countries involved, exposing new work to a fully international audience |

Soundwave 2008 Since 2005 Lewes District Council has been proud to host its audio festival – ‘SOUNDWAVE’. Over the winter half-term workshops for young people aged 11 – 18 years are scheduled – these informal workshops explore music industry techniques and bring in a wealth of professional development for any budding pop star. All workshops result in recordings and live performances, which are broadcasted on our own local radio station ‘soundwave fm’ |
